Yer a Wizard, Adri! || Project Leodetable Institute DEMO (PC)

“It’s still magic, even if you don’t know how it’s done.” –Terry Pratchett

Project Leodetable Institute is an 18+ BL visual novel in development by Erda Enos. You play as Adri, a blind tailor that lost his memory 5 years ago, but has the ability to “see” in some way, almost like detecting auras or something equivalent. Adri doesn’t know that he actually has magical ability.

In their world, known as Varr, magic is seen as a dangerous and forbidden power. The leaders in the past would go as far to sentence those who used magic to death. In time, the Leodetable Institute, with a pact between the humans and the Gods, was made to teach those with magical potential to control their powers. However, the existence of magic is still appalling to commoners, thus the gathering of those with magical talent had to be kept secret.

 What are these bizarre enemies!?

I want to leave most of the demo up for you to experience yourself so I don’t want to give a play by play, but I found the premise intriguing. I look forward to seeing where the developer takes the story in the future.

So, let’s talk about the game features! I think what I was most impressed with is the artwork, which is outstanding. Each character looks unique and well made up. Maps scroll in a manner similar to Legend of Mana, or Radiata Stories. And… probably many other games but those are the two that immediately came to my mind.

Oh, Adri...

The battle system is turned based, with basic RPG skills—attack, magic, guard, item. I wish the battle was a little more challenging, as you can kill the first enemies you encounter in 1 hit. I also thought the music was pretty good. The dialogue does have some errors that need correcting, both in spelling, grammar and some lines of dialogue will repeat.
The developer is aiming for an October 2018 release, and you can support the game (and reserve yourself a copy of the game) on Indiegogo *here*. Also, be sure to download the demo free from Itch.io to try *here*.
Thanks for sharing some of your time with me today! Be sure to leave your feedback and encouragement for the developer, and happy gaming!

Stargazing || Chasing the Stars DEMO (PC)

“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” –Oscar Wilde

That beautiful style :3

Chasing the Stars in a BL/Yaoi Visual Novel created by ErtalGames, the makers of A Hand in the Darkness, which I also talked about *here*. In Chasing the Stars you play as Tirs, a young man finishing his last year of Environmental Engineering in college. Tirs has always dreamed of working on Alaya, terraforming it for colonization.

Tirs set his dream aside in favor of romance, but it weighed on him heavily, and may have been the downfall of his relationship anyway. Without a boyfriend, Tirs can now refocus on his dream. He has his friends at his side, but can he really achieve his dream in the end?

Follow that dream, Tirs!

I really enjoyed this demo. I enjoyed A Hand in the Darkness also, but Chasing the Stars has a steampunk aesthetic about it that I love, and it’s about outer freaking space. It doesn’t get much cooler. The art is lovely, I love the artist’s style. The characters all have a unique style about them.

I’m excited about the story and options too! There are three different love interests, top/bottom options (as well as a skip if you’re not into all that), two threesomes (ooo la la), and multiple endings of course.

Everyone needs a friend like Pol

The game is currently running a Kickstarted campaign as well! I’ve already backed, and they’ve been fully funded, but there are stretch goals, as well as some cool rewards you can pick up, so be sure to take a look *here* And be sure to check out the demo, which you can download free from Itch.io *here*

Thanks for sharing some of your precious time with me today. I hope you’ll give this demo a try, and be sure to leave your feedback for the developers. Happy gaming!

Magical PonPon! || Seiyuu Danshi 18+ yaoi/BL [Extended Demo]

What's up, everyone? It's my birthday today! Plus, it's Pride Month! So we'll get into some LGBTQ+ games if we can. We can start with one now~!

Source: Screen Capture in Game

The first game we're going to look at, and probably my most looked forward to game, is Seiyuu Dashi. Seiyuu Danshi is an 18+ BL/Yaoi game created by the wonderful folks at Meyaoi Games. You play as Haato (or whatever you choose to name the MC) and you're a budding voice actor, working for a company. However, it seems you've been slacking off lately so it's up to Tocchan to whip you into shape!

Seiyuu Danshi has a lot of elements to it, so we'll take them one by one. First is the time management system, which is always my worst enemy in any game. You have morning, afternoon, and night to work with, and depending on the day of the week and any event going on, you usually have afternoon to work with, and then at night you have options in your room to choose from. Most mornings you'll be at the VA(voice acting) school.

There is a wide array of clothing to choose from, including different underwear and accessories, however I'm not good at matching so I wish there were some better outfit options available(but this is still just a demo after all). Besides decoration yourself, you can also buy furniture for your apartment. Many pieces of furniture also serve a function, such as the computer, or bookshelves.

Since you're a voice actor, it makes sense for there to be some sort of work for you to do. You've got bills to pay, after all! I really liked the voice acting system used in the game. You're given lines and you have to choose the appropriate emotion to give the line when Haato says it. The better you choose, the higher your score. In order to get the job, you have to get so many points, which is marked on a bar at the bottom of the screen.

One of my favorite aspects of the game is the wide variety of characters to meet in the game. You have the stern and adulty Toshiyuki, the shy Kazu, the fun Shiba, the enigmatic Shuu, and the superstar Hikaru. So you can take your pick! I wish this demo was longer so I had more time to seduce the men in Haato's life.

In any case, this game is one that I am really looking forward to getting (I pre-ordered some time ago, so now we wait) and it's really looking like it'll deliver. I look forward to more progress and a completed game to share with you all! GO download the extended demo on Itch.io *here*.

Thanks for sharing your time with me, once again! Happy Gaming~!
